The Justice Committee is currently conducting an inquiry :

Open justice: court reporting in the digital age

The inquiry is not specific to family justice but it does encompass issues of relevance to the Family Court – so we made written submissions. One of our core group members, Dr Judith Townend (Senior Lecturer in media and information law at University of Sussex), was one of the witnesses who gave oral evidence on 9 November. The other witnesses were Maeve McClenaghan, Journalist at The Bureau of Investigative Journalism and Emily Pennink, Old Bailey Correspondent at Press Association. See here.

You can read our written submissions (x2) to the inquiry along with all other published submissions here.

In fact the deadline for the submission of evidence has been extended until Monday 29th so there is – just – time to submit your evidence if you wish to do so. Details here.
